Principal's Message
10/16/06 |
by Mary Springs I cannot tell you how excited I am to be here at Santa Gertrudis ISD as your superintendent. This is such a wonderful district with such great children, teachers, parents and community. “Catch the Wave” is our theme for this year. It illustrates our enthusiasm for learning and success. We are catching the wave of success and riding it throughout the year. Many of the staff are using the themes in their classrooms, in the library and throughout the school. You have a wonderful and committed group of teachers and staff at SGISD. The elementary school is a happy and nurturing place where students the best start possible and are guided through their middle school years. The Academy is truly a unique high school learning environment that offers a wide variety of programs to meet the individual needs of the students. Our partnership with Texas A&M Kingsville offers an early college program that is unmatched by other schools. I am very fortunate to be here and to be able to raise my children in the SGISD schools. This community is truly like a family. We all take on roles and responsibilities for raising our children and these schools are truly involved and concerned about the welfare of your child. This is a great place to be for all of us! Please know that I have an open door policy and I am here to visit with you whenever the need arises. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of educating your children. Mary Springs Superintendent |
